LangSpector is designed around local auditing, read-only operation and limited communication with external services.
PRIVACY BY DESIGN
Auditing your content does not require uploading your content.
LangSpector performs its multilingual analysis directly inside your WordPress installation.
Your posts, pages, visible text, SEO metadata and image ALT text are not sent to the LangSpector license server for analysis.
The local audit and the Pro licensing system are intentionally kept separate.
LOCAL AUDITING
The scan runs on your own WordPress site.
No content upload
LangSpector does not send the content being audited to an external LangSpector analysis service.
No external AI required
Language analysis uses local language profiles included with the plugin rather than sending text to an AI API.
Polylang languages only
Language detection compares content against the relevant languages configured on your WordPress site.
Read-only operation
Scanning does not automatically rewrite or repair the content being inspected.
READ-ONLY BY DESIGN
An auditor should not silently change what it audits.
LangSpector identifies potential inconsistencies and gives you the information needed to investigate them.
It deliberately leaves the final decision and any correction to the WordPress administrator.

DATA STORED BY LANGSPECTOR FREE
Audit information is stored in your own WordPress database.
LangSpector uses dedicated database tables for the information required to display and manage audit results.
Scan information
Information about the audit itself, including its status and processing information.
Findings
The issues detected during the audit, including their type, severity, language, affected WordPress object and explanatory details.
Ignore preferences
Information required to recognise findings that you deliberately chose to ignore.
Older completed audit records are removed as newer audits replace them, while ignore preferences can remain available for future scans.
DATA REMOVAL
You decide what happens when LangSpector is uninstalled.
LangSpector includes an option to remove its stored audit data when the Free plugin is fully uninstalled.
Simply deactivating the plugin does not trigger this removal, helping prevent accidental loss of audit information during temporary deactivation.

What is sent to the license server?
Pro needs limited technical communication to activate licenses, verify entitlement, manage installations and provide protected updates.
License key
Used to identify and validate the Pro license.
Site URL
Used to associate an activation with the relevant WordPress website.
Installation identifier
A generated installation identifier distinguishes one WordPress installation from another.
Environment type
Identifies whether the installation is production, staging, development or local.
Current Pro version
Sent when checking whether an eligible Pro update is available.
WHAT IS NOT SENT FOR LICENSING
Your audit content is not part of the license request.
The Pro licensing request is separate from the multilingual audit itself.
The license server does not need the text of your posts or pages to determine whether your Pro installation is authorised.
License requests do not include
- Article or page content
- Translation text
- SEO titles or descriptions being audited
- Image ALT text being audited
- LangSpector audit findings
- Your audit health score
INSTALLATION RECORDS
What the license server records for an activation.
Website URL
The address associated with the activated installation.
Installation ID
The identifier generated for that WordPress installation.
Environment
Production, staging, development or local classification.
Activation dates
Activation and most recent successful license-check timestamps.
LICENSE KEY SECURITY
Your key is treated as a credential.
The complete license key is required for activation and for sensitive installation-management operations.
On the license server, the licensing system maintains a cryptographic hash for key matching and an encrypted representation where the complete key must remain recoverable for administrative purposes.
Do not publish or share your LangSpector license key publicly.
My installations protection
Access to the complete installation list requires the full license key.
Once unlocked from WordPress, access automatically locks again after a limited period.
Remote installation management is therefore not exposed merely because someone knows the website URL.
LICENSE SERVER AVAILABILITY
A temporary connection problem does not immediately disable Pro.
After a successful license verification, LangSpector Pro allows a seven-day offline grace period.
If the license server temporarily becomes unreachable, a previously verified installation can continue using Pro during this period.
After the grace period, another successful verification is required to keep Pro active.
API PROTECTION
License endpoints are rate limited.
Activation, verification and installation-management requests are rate limited to reduce automated abuse.
The requesting IP address may be processed temporarily for this rate-limiting mechanism, but it is not part of the LangSpector activation record.
PURCHASES & STRIPE
Payment information is handled through Stripe Checkout.
When purchasing LangSpector Pro, checkout takes place through Stripe’s payment infrastructure.
Card information
LangSpector’s license database does not store your card number or card security code.
Customer information
Information returned after checkout can include the customer’s name and email address required to create and deliver the license.
Transaction references
Stripe customer, checkout, subscription and payment identifiers may be stored to manage purchases, renewals, cancellations and refunds.
Your audit data and your purchase data serve different purposes.
LangSpector does not require your site content to process a payment, activate a license or determine whether Pro updates are available.
